I feel incredibly fortunate to actually be part of a generation of young people who grew up with J. K. Rowling.

Because of J. K. Rowling, I learnt to read independently. This is probably my favourite book of hers in the Harry Potter series, although I'll review the rest of them as well.

I was completely drawn to this world as a child and still have the books on my shelf. I will definitely pick them up one day. I haven't reread any of her writing, or any of her newer stuff, but I would definitely be interested in checking them out.

I liked the tone of this book, in particular, I think because it's a little bit more mature and there are more adventurous aspects. I like that the author references Shakespeare and classical literature a lot - I'm sure it would be really interesting to pick up on more of those nuances as an adult. ( )

Still my favourite of the series, after all these years, and one of my favourite books in the world. So comforting. ( )

I always regard this book as the beginning of it all, the first two books for me are more in lines of preparing the ground for us readers to know the characters. Eventhough Harry spends his third year being marked by death this title is more about feelings and thoughts rather than action. New characters from the past are introduced to make the story even richer. Our world expands as well as Harry's as he learns more about his parents past and meet new people that will influence his life to death. ( )
