I am disappointed.
At Lighthouse Point was one of my very anticipated reads for this year, ever since I found out that it was about the youngest sister.
I think that this book, despite being the third book, had Second Book Syndrome. Not much happened and there were a whole lotta misunderstandings that could have been easily resolved but instead, were dragged out through the whole book.

The romance was basically non-existent. I just thought I'd throw that out there for those who are looking for a Christian romance.
However, I really liked Jean Paul. He was easily my favorite character and I would love to have seen more of him.
All in all, it was worth the read but it still will never be a favorite.

3/5 Stars

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts are my own and a positive review was not required.

A delightful final novel in this trilogy. It was more relatable for me with a culinarian as the lead. I really enjoyed this one. For the full review you can check out the link in my profile to my blog. ( )

Family, friendship and the love and support that these relationships bring abound in At Lighthouse Point. There is really nothing that makes this novel stand out, yet it’s got a charm that kept bringing me back. There is something special about the Grayson family and the unique Three Sisters Island.

The whole story is told from the point-of-views of several members of the Grayson family, which could get a tad muddled at times, but it also added a unique depth to the story. It no only jumped between narrators, but also included flashbacks, giving a bit of a disorganized feel in the moment, but as a whole made perfect sense. This is also the first novel that I’ve read in this series, so that could also have lent to the confusion. I plan on going back and reading more from this series, as I am in love with this world. All of the characters are so well fleshed out and honestly I would love to see the journey that brought everyone to this point.

Suzanne has a knack for weaving a delightful tapestry with her characters and settings, and it’s truly a marvel that I revel in. This was such a laidback and relaxing read, perfect to cuddle up with on a warm, spring day and one that I highly recommend.

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through LibraryThing Early Reviewers. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own. ( )

I've read another book in this series (I think book 1 but I seem to have missed book 2 along the way). I remember the father buying the camp and his three daughters coming back together over it.

I believe I read that one as a book. This one I listened to as an audiobook. Perhaps it was just the narrator, but my initial impression was that this family was a bunch of spoiled brats most of whom try to avoid confrontation.

Camden seems to plow ahead with what she wants and what others want be damned. She pushed through electric stuff by paying for it herself. Now she wants a cell/wifi tower. She and her father also plowed ahead with remodeling the camp's kitchen without any thought to commercial kitchen requirements.

Paul (the father) was involved in the kitchen remodel. We also find that he's ignored licensing and permits required to have the camp--let alone worrying about the kitchen being up to code for a commercial kitchen! Paul uses his limited voice as an excuse when he doesn't want to talk about things.

Blaine returns home but rather than tell her father and sister that their kitchen remodel won't pass muster, she tries to hide her dismay. Blaine tried to spiff up the local diner before she left the area, but in her 2 year absence, Peg has let it go back to what it was and, other than letting Blaine tinker with the menu, she isn't keen on bringing back Blaine's ideas. Blaine's also so used to being "dismissed" by her family that she keeps her work on the lighthouse restaurant from them.

Blaine shows up with Jean-Paul, whom everyone assumes is her boyfriend. Paul's estranged father shows up around the same time.

I guessed Jean-Paul's choice long before it was revealed in the book, but I thought he'd be recruited to be Rick's assistant rather than that he'd be returning to France.

So basically, I wasn't very impressed with this book and have no desire to go back and find the second book of the series to read it. ( )

It takes place on Three Sisters Island. Blaine had left for 2 yrs. to figure out her future. She returns with a French man trying to figure out his calling. Cam, her sister, is pregnant and trying to bring a cell phone tower to Island. Locals don't want it. Art I, Blaine's friend, has become a doctor and ignores her. Blaine does not like how her Dad and sister remodeled kitchen. Jean, the Frenchman, keeps getting hurt. Forgiveness, finding purpose in life, babies to be born, and a storm bring about lots of changes. One plan ended for a better one. ( )
