This book goes through the curiosity of flowers and plants. I would recommend this book for 3rd-5th because of the little words on each page. This book can teach students about flowers because this book shows facts about flowers/plants. I can imagine students looking at this book enjoying the beautiful illustrations. ( ) I thought that this book would be good for primary children. I was an easy read and great for teaching children about the importance of nature and growth. This book is about a little girl who really takes a second to look at the flowers, and nature. she asks a lot of why and wondering questions about the flowers. She thinks about herself as a flower and how she would be if she was one. 2022 Caldecott Honor Book The illustrations are vibrant and almost a little overwhelming. The story is about a girl leaving the grey city to explore outdoors. The book uses all senses to explore flowers of various kinds. Sometimes the shift between metaphors is jarring, but there is a lot in this book for a reader to explore. I am always on the lookout for books for storytime - this is not a storytime book. While I don't think this would work well with a group, it would be interesting to share this story one-on-one. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
