What a fun story! I loved Creel with her "can do" attitude. I loved the dragons each with a unique personality! I loved the dress shop with its uppity clientele and shop girls all in pink. This was a rousing adventure with surprises, twists, and turns. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. "Dragon Slippers" was delightful and a complete joy to read. I am surprised by my reading choices of mystery, murder, horror, dry humor, and then lovely preteen tails. The latter are pallet cleansers. The books in the humor category are when I need to heal because I'm sick. The books I picked kept my mind occupied. I started a few and dropped them, so you don't see what might have been 4-star rated books. I can't be bothered. I have read romances in the past but found them too formulaic to be engaging. Classic literature doesn't move fast enough. I will stick with my mystery, murder, horror, dry humor, and lovely preteen tails. Did I tell you I loved "Dragon Slippers?"
Some secondary characters are rather flat and stereotypical, and a lot of details are tied up too neatly and quickly at the conclusion, but the plot is sound and well written. The plot elements are sometimes awkwardly stitched together, but the exciting, fairy-tale action and vivid scenes, from glittering dragon cave to posh dress shop, are captivating. Not entirely original, but clever, well-plotted and good fun. Onderdeel van de reeks(en)Dragon Slippers (1) Is opgenomen inPrijzenErelijsten

There was a good blend of plot, world building, and character development, to keep me interested and intrigued. ( )
