Five years after a one night stand, Rhode Daley walks into Smutties Bookstore and sees himself in 4 year old Remy who is Brooklyn's son. Rhode and his team called Takeback specialize in saving people from human trafficking, and are in the process of trying to find the sister of Brooklyn's friend, Letty who has gone missing. Rhode immediately realizes that Remy is his and begins to spend time with Brooklyn and his son while trying to figure out what has happened to Letty's sister. It doesn't take long before Rhode and Brooklyn realize that they want to be a family.

Dangerous Love starts out with a bang as Brooklyn and Rhode's explosive one night stand leads to a meeting for the first time in 5 years. Unfortunately, that is where the conflict between the two main characters pretty much ends. The book goes on way too long as the two try to figure out how they will create a family, which doesn't really seem that difficult. Some aspects of this story are very enjoyable. The chemistry between Brooklyn and Rhode is off the charts during their one night stand, but it fizzles a bit as the story progresses. The mystery involving the search for Letty's sister is layered with lots of clues, but since most of it takes place off page, it is hard to follow and is anticlimactic. Overall, Dangerous Love is filled with the promise but never really delivers. (
