Väga veider, ma lausa ütleks, et kergelt skisofreeniline lugemiskogemus. Raamat ise märksa nõrgem kui sarja avaosa "Gracling" (eesti keeles "Võluvägine"), aga käest ära panna ei saanud.
Sündmustik suuremas osas etteaimatav, kangelanna ebausutav, stamp stambi otsa, aga kirjutatud oli nii oskuslikult, et aga mida kaugemale jõudsid, seda enam haaras. Huvitavaim osa raamatust oli kahtlemate kõik Lecki lapsepõlve puudutav, kahjuks oli see kogu Fire põhijoontes romantilisele loole üsna kunstlikult külge poogitud. ( )

I struggled a little bit with this one. I really liked the main character and loved seeing the world again. I also liked that it tackled some topics that I have never read in fantsay book before like pregnancy and sex and the consequences. Those topics are not normally talked about. I also really liked the found family elements that developed. But i felt like the plot was not as captivating and sort of like graveling less captivating. I am still really excited for book 3. This book did not wow me! ( )

I liked this book but not nearly as much as Graceling. It had a pacing problem for me. I thought ultimately it was a little long. The story would have been better if it was tightened up. There was a lot of redundancy in The plot. No one captivated me either. I was interested in the characters but not breathless with where they would go next. Still a fun read and has done nothing to diminish my desire to read Biterblue. ( )
