At times intense, at times delightful, but always engaging. Such a powerful story of grief, forgiveness and loving yourself. Another wonderfully written YA book set in New Zealand which never fails to create an instant connection for me. The descriptions of the graphic novel the teens were writing were so vivid I could see the characters coming off the page. This very short novel deals with some quite heavy issues and I would be sure to advise students of some of the mental health issues experienced by the characters within. Not gonna lie, there was a tear sliding down my cheek at the end.
