Very good, 2nd one by him I've read & liked Story Synopsis: Kevin Kerney has gotten a new job working in the Gila Wilderness as a seasonal worker. While on patrol he is called to investigate a poaching incident. But poaching isn’t the only crime in which he gets involved. As he works to find out who shot his partner, he must solve not only the poaching crimes but also a sixty year-old murder. Review: The Gila Wilderness provides a vivid setting for this exciting mystery. The characters are well developed and plot keeps the reader involved throughout. Another in the successful series of mysteries featuring Kevin Kearny. All of the mysteries take place in the southwest, which drew me to read them in the first place. A fine writer, who certainly knows knows the ins-and-outs of police work, having been one himself. I rank McGarrity up there with John Straley for tough, well-written mysteries set in the outdoors. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
