There was an unpredictably throughout the story, that made sure i was engrossed to the last page, but what i loved most was the humor, i was laughing out loud on many occasions, there were of course many moments of drama too. ( )

Max Nowaz's "Get Rich or Get Lucky" The plot was good, It's like a roller coaster that had too much caffeine - unpredictable, thrilling. The characters were as complex as my relationship with caffeine (and that's saying something). Some you'll want to have a coffee with, others, maybe just throw the coffee at.
The plot is propulsive and humorous, and it kept me turning the pages, the overall enjoyment? It's like when you find an extra fry at the bottom of the bag. A pleasant surprise, but you kind of hoped for more.
Get Rich or Get Lucky is a whirlwind. It's not your everyday tale of fortune, but it's worth the ride. Just maybe keep your seatbelt fastened and your coffee cup secure. ( )

I've read 2 of Max's books so far, and they don't disappoint. They are all quite different. This book in particular is perfect for an afternoon read. Adam buys old houses and remodels them. He finds a book hidden and apparently, it holds magic. The book goes through Adam's daily life, and how the book changes everything. Adam has to go through crayfish, a bunch of women, and people who want his magic book! Adam has to endure it all until everything goes back to normal.

I would 100% recommend this to those who want something funny yet enjoyable with a twist of magic. ( )

I was so happy to come across this book as I was in a slump with my normal genres. This book was so funny and had me laughing uncontrollably at times. The book focuses on Adam, who hasn’t had the best luck with his career, and has decided to flip houses to try and make a quick buck. In his latest house he finds a book of magic which he is quickly fascinated by. He wants to share this exciting news with his friends, Dick and Charlie, but they do not react they way he was hoping. They think he is joking and that the book isn’t really magic. Well that quickly changes when Adam casts a spell that turns Dick into a crayfish and he isn’t able to reverse it! After that a series of hilarious events happen as Adam tries to get his friend back, explain to his wife where Dick is, and trying to tell the police what is happening once they get involved. Then unfortunately the book of magic is stolen and Adam is on a quest to find the book so he can reverse the spell on Dick. But is Adam able to get the book back? Will he ever be able to change his friend back to a person? Time is running out as the police are continuing to close in on Adam and ask where Dick is. This book is so well written, and I love the characters, especially Adam. It is definitely an entertaining read. ( )
