Another reason why I liked this poem is because of the writing structure. The author breaks the poem up into three parts. Each part ends trying to persuade the reader to buy the Wonka candy. The first part of the poem is the introductory part. It invites people to try the candy. The second part talks about a list of injuries, and the third part talks about how the candy can help fix the problem. The writing structure is similar to an essay with a beginning, middle, and end, but the poem is only one stanza broken up by lines of the poem. The lines that break up each section are longer than the rest of the lines in the poem giving the reader a visual of the beginning, middle, and end.
The big idea of this poem is that the Wonka Vite can heal the problem of getting old. The poem is a whimsical story of how Willy Wonka created a cure for getting old and curing aches. The poem trying to persuade readers to buy the product. ( )
