I enjoyed Hazelwood’s The Love Hypothesis so went ahead and got this one. It’s another mostly light romance in a science environment. Bee is a neuroscientist who is thrilled to get a job on an exciting project at NASA. Until she finds out that her co-leader is Levi Ward who she is certain has hated her since grad school. It’s got pleasant characters in an interesting setting and a predictable enemies to lovers story. There’s also a cat named Schrödinger. An enjoyable book that was perfect to read during the busy holiday weeks. ( ) Cute enemies-to-lovers science nerd book. I enjoyed this while on vacation and found myself wanting more of her books (though they are all kind of similar). This is a cute book for what it is—a light read that will remind you of a cute Hallmark movie. The book is science-heavy, which I very much appreciate. Is it literary genius? No, but it's a damn cute book that will have you grinning from ear to ear! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering projectâ??a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academiaâ??Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward. Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. And sure, he caught her in his powerfully corded arms like a romance novel hero when she accidentally damseled in distress on her first day in the lab. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad schoolâ??archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away. Now, her equipment is missing, the staff is ignoring her, and Bee finds her floundering career in somewhat of a pickle. Perhaps itâ??s her occipital cortex playing tricks on her, but Bee could swear she can see Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideasâ?¦devouring her with those eyes. And the possibilities have all her neurons firing. But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, thereâ??s only one question that matters: What wil Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
