A story that everyone heard countless times as a child. I really like how that even though it's the same story, there are still numerous variations of some of the details. That's what keeps the people reading books like this. Plus it adds a visual aspect to the story, which paints a better picture than just an oral story. The age and style of the illustrations in this book just add to it. The Three Bears by Paul Galdone Summary: In this story, the three bears of varying sizes have their own items such as a bowl, chair and bed. They had made porridge but it was too hot to eat so they took a walk. While they were gone a little girl came in their house and tried all their porridge and sat in all their chairs and laid in all their beds. When the bears returned they discovered that someone had entered their house and messed with their stuff. When they found the little girl, she got scared and ran off never to be seen by them again. Personal Reaction: I remember reading this story as a kid, never was too impressed. I found it rude that the little girl entered the home without permission and messed with all the stuff even going as far as breaking some of it. Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. Have the kids build their own house out of Lincoln logs or blocks. 2. Have the kids take a walk around the playground. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
