Creepy is not usually my genre, but this book pulled it off without too much focus on the horror parts of the story(and there were some). I thought the characters were interesting and the romance balanced nicely to not overtake the story, but present enough to be nice. I thought this was a much darker fariy novel. I did like the characters and the world building but the conflict could have been stronger at points and the plot did drag. I really did love the myth she created in this book and the darker story that we got. The thing that stood out to me was the world building and the characters. I feel like the plot was unbalanced at points and slow burn but I am glad I read it. I am excited to see what ties it has to her cruel prince series! I thought this was a much darker fariy novel. In the town of Fairfold, where humans and fae exist side by side, a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives awakes after generations of sleep in a glass coffin in the woods, causing Hazel to be swept up in new love, shift her loyalties, feel the fresh sting of betrayal, and to make a secret sacrifice to the faerie king.
