Non è la prima volta che mi occupo di questo problema che riguarda la comunicazione. Quando Marshall McLuhan scrisse "The medium is the message", la disse tutta. Non poteva sapere quello che sarebbe successo in questo campo della comunicazione umana, era l'anno 1964, se ricordo bene, e lui si riferiva alla televisione. A distanza di oltre mezzo secolo la sua fu una strepitosa intuizione, ancora tutta in divenire.

Quando cominciai a studiare le lingue, usavo i dischi in vinile a 64 giri dei corsi di Linguaphone e ascoltavo le lezioni di lingue alla Radio alle 6,30 del mattino. Quando ci riuscivo, mi sintonizzavo sulla BBC al programma "London Calling". Il sistema era quindi audio. Poco dopo diventò attivo, nel senso che inventarono la registrazione che portò inevitabilmente alla possibilità di registrare quello che si voleva dire, e il sistema della comunicazione divenne AAC, con la comparazione l'ascoltatore diventava attore attivo nella comunicazione.

Quando MacLuhan scrisse quel libro, tutto divenne Video Audio AttiVo Comparativo (VAAC). La realtà cartacea era diventata digitale. Informazione e Conoscenza diventavano le vere proagoniste del nostro essere umani. L'autore dell'articolo che ho pubblicato su questa scheda dedicata a questo nuovo libro introduce la parola "imparare". A mio parere una parola piuttosto riduttiva oltre che generica e fuorviante. Per me si tratta di "conoscenza" che si confronta con "informazione".

Una vita diventata VAAC digitale porta soltanto all'informazione,il primo passo verso la formazione che è vero sapere e certa conoscenza. Il digitale VAAC rimane informazione, al cartaceo rimane il compito di aprire le porte non soltanto per imparare, ma per sapere, credere e conoscere. ( )
