Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Provocative social commentary is how I would describe this book. Plus some well thought out and vividly portrayed characters. You'll have no issues reading this book in 2 days max. It moves at a great pace. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. A brilliant book that made me think about our common human condition. The passions experienced by the protagonists, love, hate, and revenge, are foundational to most of what anyone goes through. I found it very entertaining to read about the extent to which such experiences can carry us. In places, what is tragic looked even funny. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. It made me rethink what it means to be a feminist. Moura, in this book, thinks she is. She has a track record of standing up for herself, and only for herself, but for what a price. The story has a very true dark side. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. You'll love this book if you like a strong female protagonist and some strong male protagonists. Nothing is spared to make for unexpected plot twists, deep insights into our common human nature, plus biting commentary on current events. I hope the sequels in this series will be as good! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

He has to descend into the deepest hell in order to find out. There the value of human life takes on a new and unexpected dimension. The Cave Sun Series is an upbeat, inspirational story about the horrors of modern war. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

There were times that I thought the writing was a little over-written. For instance:
"The hexagon shape that melted into the dark, rugged tree trunks defied the descriptions of a tent with its gold-plated fixtures in the adjoining portable bathroom and the thick sheepskin and woolen carpets, pillows, and bedsheets adorning the interior."
And sometimes modifiers didn't quite fit...
"The blazing sun pelted on the vehicle, and the scene unfolded around it." You don't typically think of a sun as "pelting" ... rain and snow and ice 'pelts'.
But these small issues aside, I enjoyed this! ( )
