A very good end to the series. ( )

I really enjoyed reading this book! The story is unique. The characters are familiar with some new ones. Catherine immediately became my favorite. She's committed to her work as a midwife. She also loves deeply. The love story is sweet, with light sensuality. Faith in God is prevalent throughout the book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. ( )

How is it that I have never read Jody Hedlund before? After reading THE LAST CHANCE COWBOY, I know I will now be looking for all of her previous books and I hope to enjoy them all! What a wonderful story! A book filled with surprises, and not all that I loved, but a story that will keep you up late reading, and you won’t be disappointed. ( )

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
The Last Chance Cowboy by Jody Hedlund is book five of this 5 book series in the Colorado Cowboy series. I love Jody Hedlund’s books and this one is a really an awesome ending to the series. This story centers around Dyland, who has lived a pretty rough life but he is trying to do better. There are a few stories going on within this book, and some twists and turns that will throw you off a bit. But I love, love the story. A couple of my favorite things in a story is second chances and marriage of convenience, and I was surprised and so so glad to see both in this story. Dylan and Catherine are so special. I enjoyed their sweet romance, and I love how they loved their sweet boy.

When Dyland ask her to marry him, she says yes, for more than one reason. She was so tired of running she thought maybe she would now be safe. She loved baby Austin, and his father wasn’t so bad either! But then when the past hits them with a hard blow, what will happen with this little family? You need to read the book to find out.

This five book series were wonderful reads. Getting to know the five McQuaid boys was a real treat. Saving Dylan until the end was a clever thing to do. I think this one, The Last Chance Cowboy is my favorite, but I am sure I will re-read this series and that might change. I can’t wait to see what Karen Witemeyer has next for her readers. If you enjoy Cowboy stories, this one is for you. I am giving The Last Chance Cowboy Five Stars, and I wish I could give it more.

The Last Chance Cowboy by Jody Hedlund is a work of Historical Romance. Catherine Remington is a midwife delivering a baby who sees someone get murdered. Then the murderer sets her up to be accused of committing the murder. When the mother dies, she sets out to take the baby to his father.

Dylan McQuaid is the prodigal who repents and returns to FairPlay. When Catherine shows up with his baby, he mistakenly believed she is the mother. He does the right thing by marrying her. I loved seeing how well Catherine fits in with the family.

From babies to stolen steer, to wonderfully tender moments, this book kept me interested. I loved getting to know the characters. I also loved the pace of the story. I could definitely spend more time reading books about these characters and their community.
