( ) Lonely Planet used to have two series of travel guides: "Travel Survival Kits" to cover all budgets, and "On a Shoestring" to cover just us penny-pinching backpackers. Something has changed. This book says it's "On a Shoestring" but wastes a huge amount of space covering many mid-range and expensive accommodations and restaurants. To make up for this they cut down on other info. And it's just the info I need. For instance there are 3 or 4 border crossings from Guatemala to El Salvador. They mention them all but only provide coverage for one route - which was not the one I was interested in. At a price now equal to 2 or 3 days total backpacking expenditure I expect more. People have been reccomending Rough Guide and next time I'm going to try. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
