Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I’ve really enjoyed this book. It’s very well written and an easy read. I had never heard of this series so I stopped reading to go back and read book 1 before returning to this one. Great enemies to lovers story. Looking forward to book 3.Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Press Release was a really good book, well written and easy to read. I was drawn into this book from the first page. It’s a story of two rival journalists forced to work together. They demonstrate an irresistible blend of hilarious banter and sizzling chemistry as they go from ‘enemies to lovers’. The author has written a well-paced story with plot twists and insight into the risks we take as we open ourselves up to love. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Best romance novel I’ve read in quite a while.PRESS RELEASE is very well-written, with a voice that stands out from the beginning. The author takes care to completely immerse us in the first scene, and that care is carried throughout the novel. Characterization is excellent, including the supporting players. The tropes are presented in a subtle manner, and the plot moves at a good pace—I finished the book in one sitting. And of course, there was the expected “happy ever after” scene at the end. There are a few grammatical flaws but, for the most part, a nice editing job was done. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a well-written, satisfactory romance. I received an ARC of this book through LibraryThing in exchange for my honest opinion, which is freely presented here. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Meg McGrath, a publicist with few but impressive credits on her C.V., finds herself playing in the P.R. big leagues when she lands a job as head of publicity for The Chieftain's Son, an Irish historical drama based on an insanely best-selling series of romance novels that films in Ireland. The show's buzz hits the stratosphere in its first season, and given her lack of experience, the network questions Meg's ability to keep up with the skyrocketing publicity demands of their top tier show. When her boss at the network threatens to reassign a new head of P.R. to the show and demote Meg into an assistant position, she convinces him to make a deal. If she orchestrates an unforgettable splash for The Chieftain's Son at Cali Con, a massive convention of the popular arts in San Diego, he'll give her another season to prove her publicity chops. Much to Meg's resentment, in San Diego the network pairs her up with Cian Malley, the publicist of the network's other top show, Star's Shadow, to show P.R. rookie Meg the ropes. Instead of simply siphoning off her competitor's knowledge in order to keep her job, the heat between them burns past the boundaries of a professional connection. Will Meg's association with Cian boost her odds to impress her boss or did her naivete blind her to the real P.R. game going on behind her back? Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
