To mark the thousandth year of peace in the Empire of Concordia, the emperor's ship embarks upon a twelve-day voyage. Aboard are the heirs of the twelve provinces of Concordia, each graced with a unique magical ability known as a Blessing. Except one- Ganymedes Piscero. When a beloved heir is murdered, everyone is a suspect. Stuck at sea and surrounded by powerful people, odds of survival are slim. But as the bodies pile higher, Ganymedes must become the hero he was not born to be and unmask the killer before he ends up the next victim of their bloody crusade. The characters were good developed and fun as well, especially Dee and Grasshopper.
On the other hand, I had the main culprit figured out as soon as the character was introduced. I was even right with what the motive was, more or less.
Now what does that mean? Am I really this good in solving murder mysteries or was it really this obvious? It put for sure a damper on the excitment a bit,
which made the conclusion (mainly day 12) very anticlimactic.
The end in general felt a bit rushed.
Nonetheless, the writing itself was fun enough to go on reading, even if some themes were handled a bit heavy handed.
There were two or three things going on with the characters which I didn't see coming and which made up a bit for me solving it so early. ( )
