Gold Glitter in the Air is the first book of a new children's chapter book series: Adventures of Harriet the Bumblebee. These enchanting stories are geared towards children ages 5 - 9 but will capture the hearts of all. Children are falling in love with Harriet and her friends. Their silly adventures will keep readers turning the page and eager for the next book. Gold Glitter in the Air begins with Harriet pacing in her bedroom full of worries. She dreams of flying with the other bumblebees, but she is afraid to fly. Harriet wonders: What if my wings don't work? What if I fall? What if everyone laughs at me? Her fears are preventing her from being who she is meant to be, a pollinating bumblebee. Her patient mother and the wise Queen help Harriet learn a lifelong lesson: If she believes in herself, then she can do anything! With this belief tucked in her heart, Harriet's adventure begins.Harriet represents every little child. She is full of hopes, dreams, fears, and lots of silliness. All her struggles, emotions, and victories are on display for children to learn from. Friendship, teamwork, generosity, and taking care of animal habitats are some of the underlying themes found in this series. Pollination, instinct, metamorphosis, and migration were naturally woven into the storylines. There is a Bonus section at the end of Gold Glitter in the Air titled "Doodles & Dreams." In this section children can practice being an illustrator. They are also given the opportunity to explore their likes & dislikes and decide what new things they would like to learn or try. Children and parents can visit a website where the fun continues. Baking recipes from the stories are here so children can make and taste them. Confidence Coins which encourage children to go outside of their comfort zone can be printed, colored, and treasured. The Word Count increases with each book to help children become stronger readers. Books are best read in order.Thank you for considering Gold Glitter in the Air!… (meer)
