This book is perfect to read to children, it shows that it's okay to be just ok at somethings. I think it is important to teach children that not everything they do, they are going to be great at and that is okay. There will be many things that people and children will be just ok at and there is nothing wrong with that. It is also important to teach children to have fun while figuring it out, which this book does just that. This book shows the stick figure doing many different things, and no matter what, he is having fun doing it. There might be many things that you're ok at, but one day you will find something that you are great at. Although the illustration in this book is not like most books, I think Rosenthal did a great job at still keeping it interesting for children while reading. ( )

The OK Book, is a simple and uplifting book about achieving goals and improving ones self. Our protagonist is a stick figure that cleverly looks like the word "Ok" . We follow the stick man as they try to do many different things such as , climbing, swimming, and roasting a marshmallow. Every picture shows the character attempting each task and they seem to only be "okay" at what they do. That is when the book reveals that it is okay to be "okay" because with practice you can go from being okay to great. The story inspires perseverance and patience and can be a great read for anybody that wants a boost of inspiration when trying something new. ( )

" The OK Book," shows that we can be OK at many different things, but we must keep searching to find something that we are great at. This would be a great book to share with children to show them that they can do so many different things, but they should never settle and keep striving for greatness.

The illustrations were very clever and correlated well with the text. The author utilized repetition throughout the book. She repeatedly used the work "OK", and it worked. The use of repetition gave the whole message that we can be OK at many different things. She did an excellent job writing this book, and showed how clever and witty she is. ( )

In this clever and visual play on words, OK is turned sideways, upside down, and right side up to show that being OK can really be quite great.

With spare yet comforting illustrations and text, bestselling duo Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld celebrate the real skills and talents children possess, encouraging and empowering them to discover their own individual strengths and personalities.

Whether OK personifies an OK skipper, an OK climber, an OK lightning bug catcher, or an OK whatever there is to experience, OK is an OK place to be. And being OK just may lead to the discovery of what makes one great.
