Mrs. Peters has seven children, each one a pickier eater than the last. As her family grows, Mrs. Peters is more and more worn out from meeting her family's demands. For her birthday, the children want to cook for her but can't agree on what to make. The result is both a mess and a success. A fun story about a woman with 7 kids, all of whom are extremely picky eaters. She finds it rather endearing with the oldest, but as she has more and more children, she quickly becomes exhausted. I liked it overall but felt there was just so much potential to make it even funnier; and I didn't love the ending. It is refreshing to read books about large families, though! This silly book is sure to make children laugh as they read about the seven Peters children and their picky eating habits. It's perfect to teach children about rhyming and the detailed pictures will keep them engaged throughout the book. At the end of the book, the seven children accidentally bake a cake for their mother using only the picky foods that they eat. Children of all ages will love this book and I will be reading it to my class this week! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
