I guess I thought I was going to become a Great Singer. Well, Pavarotti can't read music either! Here's my advice to singers: firstly, from the book, squeeze the dime, and secondly, sing OUT. Just because it sounds good to you doesn't mean it does to others. Don't go rolling it around in your mouth and nasal cavities (unless you're warming up and trying to clear your sinuses) for your own pleasure. It sounds like you're singing around marbles, Ms. Callas.
