The reviewer for 'School Library Journal' said of this work, "The poem grows in power as it flows along, and is ably supported by Gorbaty's gorgeous, inventive artwork." In dynamic words and dramatic pictures, Earthdance invites young readers to become not just part of the earth, but Earth itself. While the book is informational, the colorful illustrations and dancing words on the pages help paint a picture of how wonderful Earth is. Its people, plants, and processes are described in a poetic manner in this book, and helps foster an appreciation for the world we live in. 1st-2nd grade. The genre of this book is informational. Earthdance is a story that places the reader in the book as the main character. The main character grows throughout the story and looks at all the people on the earth. I absolutely adored this book because of its colorful illustrations, imaginative storyline, and beautiful ending and would use it in my teaching because it is such a special book. Earthdance is suitable for Grades K-3 and for themes of multiculturalism, nature, and acceptance of all people. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
