I am assuming much of the details came from the journal of Ye Lui Kutsai; the journal of Friar William is quoted at the end of the book. I never read or studied about Genghis Khan before and amazed this greatest conqueror of the world was never incorporated into my (public school) education--Genghis Khan was a far greater leader and conqueror than Alexander the Great. Some of the details were a little too graphic or gruesome for me and might be also for younger or sensitive children. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

“I enjoyed it, lots of information that was new to me such as Ghengis Kahn’s original name, that he was not always at the head of a marching army, and that he conquered most of Asia. It was a really nice book. In my opinion, he was more successful than Alexander the Great.” ( )
