For being a short novel, I found that it touched the reader, early on. There are many characters, but one doesn't get lost in them. The story moves along quickly. Every sentence belongs to every other sentence. It gets to the point without being abrupt.
Although, the book is geared to the younger teen, I found it very interesting and feel it makes a great read for adults, too.
It's an easy and satisfying read with the pages being glossy and having the few black and white photographs, by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe, make the book all that more unique.
I rated this book high as I feel it's a book that every young girl or woman should read. ( )
