Fourth time reading this first book in the Brotherhood of War series. It's like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a while. The characters are well known to you. The story may be familiar but still absorbing. W.E.B Griffin is a master storyteller. Highly recommend to anyone who is not familiar with his work to check him out. Unfortunately, this is the last book in this series. I wanted the story to continue with the main character now a Colonel, Craig Lowel, getting a reprieve and able to go on to become a General. ( ) Book 6 of the Brotherhood series finds our heroes conducting operations during the Vietnam Conflict. Their characters are further developed and they continue to act in the same way that they always have, except they're older and "wiser."? It isn't much, really, about the generals...rather, continues to develop all the characters. I enjoyed the book and am already on to number 7, "The Aviators;" which seems to write over some of the epilogue from "The Generals". geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
