A book written with the help of the students of PS 150, The Bronx, New York. This is a collection of one line saying about "Black Means ..." along with beautiful illustrations. Some of the illustrations reflect the time period (1970). The book refutes negative connotations of the word 'black', with phrases such as 'Black is as rich as the earth", and "Black is as precious as a kitten", and "Black is as beautiful as my face." It's a wonderful book to read to all children, it only takes a few minutes, and the artwork and sayings provide opportunity for discussion.
