Such a fun & cute way to emphasize patterns for children. Similar to the Bug book the fish book emphasizes patterns like colors and shapes (black, yellow, black yellow/ stripe dot, stripe dot) in order to be simplistic but also stress the importance of a changing pattern. The patterns are meaningful as well as being easily distinguished by young children. This is a awesome children book which also has strong content of patterns. ( ) Pattern fish helps children to learn patterns. This book is very valuable to teach mathematical concepts. In each page, it decribes how the sea animals looks with patterns. I love how in the end of the book, it has information about patterns. I will definitely read this to my class if I had a group of younger children. I will show them the last page of the book with the information on patterns. Pattern Fish by Trudy Harris is a great book because it teaches students how to do patterns in a fun and interesting way. Patterning is a skill that students will recognize and utilize in the real world. There are fun and interesting ways to help students learn patterning. One could be having them line up blocks in a ABAB order. Another thing they could do would be using playing cards to form patterns. An additional activity would be to encourage students to make patterns during dramatic play, music and movement, and science center. I would defiantly recommend this book to many teachers to read to their students because it teaches patterning in a fun and interesting way. I will defiantly read this book to my students because I want to make learning fun and ensure that students are able to recognize and construct patterns. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
