Read this after Snowed In----I just plain like the way Bartolomeo writes. There were vague similarities in the two books---half of a couple---married but with problems in the marriage so much so that other alternatives become especially appealing. ( ) I refuse to condemn myself for reading this book. It's just a gentle little love story. Not one thing more. No big insights into life, not even into family relationships or love relationships. Nada. Just a dip into another person's shoes for a few hours, a fun little weekend fling with a sweet romance novel. Loved this book! I could not put this book down and was truly sorry when I finished it. It is the perfect summer reading - a romantic comedy which puts me in the mind of "When Harry Met Sally". The main character attempts to handle her overbearing Italian family, her career, and her complicated romantic life had me rolling in laughter. In sum, a delicious book! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Diana Campanella is the owner of a vintage clothing store in Washington, D.C., teetering on the brink of disaster. She and her blue-blood lawyer fiancé still have not set a date for their wedding. And it's becoming more difficult than ever for Diana to keep the peace in her big, unruly Catholic family. But just when all hope seems lost, Diana meets a rumpled New Yorker named Harry, who casts a new light on her life and its possibilities. Now all she has to do is decide whether Harry's warmth and great sense of humor is a better bet than the familiar security her fiancé has to offer. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
