It can teach a lot of life lessons like sharing and friendship. This book was about a Cat, Squirrel, and a Duck all living in the same house. They are making pumpkin soup. One morning the duck wakes up and decides that he wants to stir the soup. He wakes up the squirrel to tell him, and the squirrel is not happy. He snatches the spoon from the duck. The duck leaves. Will they find the duck? Will they eat the soup? Three friends make pumpkin soup every night and each friend has a different job. One day, the jobs get all switch up and it turns their house upside down. A friend decides that all they can do is leave the house and run away. Time goes by and the little friend does not come home. Read the story to find out if he every makes it home! I thought that this story made a great cautionary tale! I think that it teaches students that you have to be kind and have the ability to share in responsibilities and duties. I like the compassion that the story shows. For an activity, I would have the students try to make their own recipe for pumpkin soup. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
