I got this one with a little more faith, and darned if Price didn't make me laugh on the very last line! Masterful. This is a slow-burn romance in the truest sense, each book ends well, the next one creeps a little closer to their happily ever after...although, given Vic's talent, that's gonna be a special case HEA. So many questions yet to answer! I think in my first review I ended with the promise that I'd read the whole series. I'll reaffirm that here. Highly recommended. What I like most about the series is that despite the creepy and heavy mental stuff Vic struggles, there were a few instances when I couldn't do anything but laugh. XD It's the way Vic is processing things (ghostly and personal). I find it hilarious sometimes how he fumbles his way through life. I wonder if he was more confident and just generally a different person before Camp Hell. Somehow I doubt it. Jacob is a really good boyfriend. Kinky, sure XD but I love their dynamic. At first I thought they were going too fast... already meeting the parents and all but I think that's just because the passing time didn't register in my mind. Between books there is always a couple months going by. And finally we get to see Vic actually doing his job, which is to interrogate the victims spirits. But book 1 and 2 didn't really go in that direction. So it was more productive on that front. I hope Vic can stick it out with his new partner. He is not my favorite but at least he is professional. But Maurice was better. Why did he have to retire?! Overall I'm really enjoying the series. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
