The Fathers of the Church is an excellent place to pass on those same teachings and traditions -- long established as an indispensable reference tool for clergy, seminarians, RCIA candidates, and lay Catholics who want to strive to live up to the "Faith of Our Fathers."

Disappointing, overall. It does a decent job introducing the early church fathers, however, I found that the chosens texts were randomly abridged without even telling you that they were.

If you're looking for a simple introduction, it is a decent book, but don't ever look to this for any sort of research whatsoever. ( )
