Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:The third deligtfully undead novel in New York Times bestselling author Michele Bardsley's Broken Heart series.

Not just anyone can visit Broken Heart, Oklahoma, especially since all the single momsâ??like me, Patsy Donahueâ??have been turned into vampires. Iâ??m forever forty, but looking younger than my years, thanks to my new (un)lifestyle.

And even thought most of my customers have skipped town, I still manage to keep my hair salon up and running because of the lycanthropes prowling around. They know how important good grooming isâ??especially a certain rogue shape-shifter who is as sexy as he is deadly. Now, if only I could put a leash on my wild teenage son. Heâ??s up to his neck in danger. The stress would kill me if I wasnâ??t already dead. But my maternal instincts are sill alive and kicking, so no one better mess with m

A human Paranormal investigator finds herself caught in the middle of a paranormal battle saved by a vampire and kissed by a dragon lady before her death. *That was only the first day. She is taken by the "others" to be studied, she seems to have collected some of the dragons powers and her vampire savior did as well. There is an extreme lust going on between the two, it flaming things up in smoke. She remains a captive, while danger surrounds the compound. One dragon wants her powers, and another dragon carries an evil ancient who wants the Queen dead. Yes, a whole lot of wanting people dead going on. The two lust birds keep lusting and everything marches on to a torched ending.
I did not enjoy this one as much as the previous books. It just was too easy of a love match for me. I like more strife and struggle. I did find myself chuckling again, which it what I love about this series. ( )

Review of Broken Heart Series by Michele Bardsley:

Welcome to Broken Heart, OK, home to Vampires, Blood Wolves, Shifters, Fae, Dragons and Werewolves. The Broken Heart series focuses on the Paranormals in the city. I would hate to be a kill joy. I have to say this was not my favorite series after book four. The first four books were great and I enjoyed them. They were a little one note in the first person department but the stories surrounding each female were fun and interesting, even the sex wasn’t too bad. I mean I enjoy a little smut but there’s a fine line between a little foreplay and full on OMG wash all three eyes (two eyes and my mind’s eye) out with soap. After that the stories took on a lacking that I didn’t enjoy. I skipped at least two because I don’t know about you but demons with names and stuff…um no, not for me. I am not willing to force my beliefs on anyone but some things should not be messed with, named or focused on. Anyways the other book, the number escapes me was just boring and nothing but smut with no real original story. I will say though the Werewolf in that book was described well and I loved his character. He was the only highlight and the Wolf of my dreams…lol. I highly recommend the four books which focus on the stories of Jessica in “Because I’m the Vampire, That’s Why,” Eva in “Don’t Talk Back to Your Vampire”, Patsy in “Because Your Vampire Said So,” and Libby in “Wait Till Your Vampire Gets Home.” Read them and laugh out loud like I did. Glad I got around to reading this book. A chick lit series that I don't actually mind and would consider following. ( )

I loved it! I thought it was funny, insightful, and a little inspiring. But it was rushed. Everything seemed to be in a hurry. ( )

What I Loved: I am really digging this world setup in Broken Heart. While these books are definitely fun and campy, they do manage to bring light to some very important topics: 1rs book-infidelity, 2nd book-teenage pregnancy, and this one Drug/Alcohol addiction. Michele has done a wonderful job of mixing the humor, vamp/werewolf/hybrid goodness, and some awareness in her books. Plus, she mentions the show Supernatural in this book (great taste there LOL)

What I Liked: I really enjoyed all the secondary characters in this book! They were well rounded and a joy to read. I also adored seeing the characters that we have come to love and the continuation of the storyline of Broken Heart, OK.

Complaints? I really wish that either Patsy or Gabriel would have been introduced a little more in the first two books. I enjoyed their love story but it wasn't as catching as the first two romances in the series.

Why I gave it a 3: I really enjoyed this book but it was my least favorite of the first 3. In the beginning, I just couldn't warm up to Patsy/Gabriel, I though she had a bigger connection to D. That being said by the end I loved them together.

Who I would recommend this too: Fans of the first 2, PNR readers that can handle a little lightness, and Chick-Lit readers that can handle a little PNR. ( )
