Matilda Rose has lost her kisses and must find them before her daddy comes home. She looks everywhere and describes them to several friends, but alas no kisses. When daddy comes home she finds them in the nick of time and gives him the best kiss ever. ( ) This is a cute story about a girl cow named Matilda Rose who goes on a search for her kisses. During her search different characters ask her what her kisses look like and she can only tell them what they taste like, sound like and how they feel. The story is basically a litte cow on a search to find her kisses because her daddy will be home and she is afraid she will not find them before he arrives. I love cows! I love stories where the main character is an animal. This is a wonderful story to read to my children! A good book to use during Father's Day or Valentine's day. I would use it to discuss feelings. I would also use it to demonstrate that just because it is not in use does not mean it is not there such as integrity, respect and other non tangible ideas or ethics. This book is about a young girl cow named Matilda Rose who loses her kisses but when her dad returns home she finds them again. Matilda Rose learns that you can never really lose your kisses; they will always be there when you need them. The story line is very cute but the illustrations were my favorite part. The illustrations are sort of charcoal sketch with color highlights. I don’t see this one being my first pick for a read aloud but I would definitely include it in my classroom library because I think it is so fun and so well illustrated. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
