During the Vietnamese New Year celebration of 1968, the North attacked South Vietnamese cities and towns, murdering several Protestant missionaries and kidnapping others. In this book James and Marti Hefley tell the story of the assault on Banmethuot, focusing their report upon the capture of Hank Blood and Betty Olsen, two American missionaries, and Mike Benge, a USAID adviser. The three where chained together and force-marched through the jungle for many months. Eventually the two missionaries died of malnutrition, but not before their courage and forgiving love for their captors touched Mike Benge's heart, and he found new faith in God. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
