I must have bought something a few years ago that included a PhotoShop Elements 6 CD. Even though I use another photo editing program, I decided to install PSE 6 and give it a try. The help was basic but had links to online manuals and tutorials on the Adobe website, rather amazing considering PSE 9 is the current version. A web search returned many more helpful tips, examples, and tutorials. I usually need a book though, so off I went to the library. Since their technology books are usually outdated, I felt confident they’d have what I wanted. They actually had several PSE 6 and 7 books but this one was clearly the best. It had heavy glossy pages with great example photos and was the easiest to follow and understand. The author’s writing was clear and informative with a touch of humor. I enjoyed following along using the same photos as the book that were available as free downloads. Mr Kelby said this book was not a complete reference and didn’t treat layers in depth, but it was intense enough for me. Now I can tackle those online tips if I want to learn more. ( )
