This informational book is about what happens when it begins to rain outside. It also follows some children and what things they do when they play in the rain. The book also discusses how to know when it's about to rain and how to tell when it's stopped raining. Ages 3-5 Source - Pierce County Library I liked this book because the writing flowed well and it had great illustrations. The writing in this book rhymes which allows the words to flow together very well. The book is well paced as well because the rhyming allows the reader to move along the pages with ease. An example of the rhyming is "Running, romping, puddle-stomping. Splash again. It's fun and then..." Another reason why I like the book is the illustrations are very interesting. Instead of drawn pictures or photographs the images are something different all together. They look like paintings over textured paper which is very different and interesting. Throughout the book, the images represent the pictures very well. The big idea of this book is the delight of rainy days for children. "I'm a flower in a shower", said by the young character in this story. There is a group of young boys who find themselves playing in the rain; they are intrigued by the rain. It scares everyone else and they begin to play even more. Even when it begins to storm, they are engaged from inside looking out. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Most people leave the park when rain begins to fall, while others enjoy the sights, sounds, and feel of the cool water--until thunder and lightening come near. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
