Not as inspiring as Woodswoman I, but you've got to hand it to her. ( ) Woodswoman II: Beyond Black Bear Lake is Anne LaBastille's second book about her life in the Adirondack wilderness. In this book, it seems as if the wilderness has begun to grow smaller for LaBastille, and while she still seems inspired by the beauty of a star-filled night, she seems to have lost much of the wonder she had during the period of her first book. This book felt a bit like a long complaint about human impact on the wilderness and about intrusions into LaBastille's personal life. Her first book, Woodswoman, had a bit more plot and was more "uplifting" because she was successfully creating the life she wanted. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
