Away and see who it is. Let in the new, the vivid,
horror and pity, passion, the stranger holding the future.
Ask him his name.
(from "Away and See")
I like the poems retated to the sea, Beachcomber and Caul, but my favourite is Away and See. How interesting that Carol Ann Duffy was born with a caul. I wonder whether sailors still buy them to protect themselves from drowning.
The audiobook that I borrowed the audiobook from the library has Carol Ann Duffy reading her own poetry. ( )
