Pets I liked this book because of the plot and illustrations Dav Pilkey incorporated into the story. Each page is very detailed from the setting to the emotions portrayed on Dragon's face. The detail on page 41 shows Dragon is not just sad, he is distraught which is shown by his crying. This makes his emotions more identifiable and relate-able for young children. The pictures set the mood, enhance the story and draw interest to the book. Secondly, plot is a great way to teach rising action (when Dragon finds Fat Cat on page 13), climax (when Dragon loses Fat Cat 41) and falling action (page 44 when Dragon finds Cat and her kittens). There is suspense, and relate-able conflict as Dragon learns how to take care of a pet like many readers at that age are learning too. The message of the story is learning responsibility and how to taking care of someone else is hard work! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
