Florence Temko’s Paper Tags and Cards is an activity book designed for children between the ages of 9-12. The activities primarily involve the design of various crafts constructed from paper. It is almost like a book that teaches kids how to do origami. It is well organized with clear explanations of how to do each activity. The best activity is probably the “3-D Butterfly” card on page 16. It is a card that can be used for birthdays, etc. that functions in the same way as a pop-up book. If the instructions are followed correctly, when you open the card, a big butterfly pops out. As is the case with every activity in the book, it comes with a helpful “You Will Need” caption, describing all the necessary materials. Overall, the book is well organized and effective for its target audience.
