NCLA Review -“Journaling is a way of celebrating the goodness of the Lord, gives us a pathway through difficult times,” writes author Helen Cepero. Having read the book, I might add that journaling also blesses non-difficult times, opening our eyes to the blessings around us and encouraging us to revel in them and make the most of them. The author demonstrates how writing down thoughts is therapeutic and uplifting. It brings us closer to understanding ourselves, God, and our place in this life. The book gently suggests topics for journal entries, but encourages writers to just let it flow. Cepero is director of spiritual formation at North Park Theological Seminary, and is a retreat leader and spiritual director.
