This is Lewis’ classic vision of why some people never reach heaven even when given multiple chances. In many ways the ideas presented in this work can be found echoed in his Space Trilogy as can the feelings evoked by his description of the locales. The works are totally different in approach, intent, and content, but it seems to me that even had I not known who had written these books I would have guessed they had a common author. It’s been several years since I read Divorce and now I will plan to read it again. I enjoyed the audio version very much—it was extremely will done—but I would like to be able to read and digest at my own pace. There are places that invite contemplation.
