Op dit moment geen Discussie gesprekken over dit boek. 00010089 Juliet, a member of the peasantry in 1339 England, has an unlikely friendship with a girl of the upper classes. Like the other girls of the Girlhood Journeys series, these girls spend time contemplating their future. The class difference between these friends provides an interesting look at medieval society for the intended age group. The most suspenseful aspect of the novel is Juliet's quest to retrieve a trained falcon that her brother accidentally released. The recapture is a little difficult to imagine as written, but satisfying nonetheless. Again, like most of the Girlhood Journeys books the view of history is more cheery than realistic. The novel is an unnecessarily addition to collections, unless curriculum focuses on medieval history for this age group or there is a high demand for books similar to the American Girl series. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
