It's great how good narration makes a good book better. The right voice brings characters to life in the best way.

[ETA 04/13/21] Now I want a short story featuring Kevin Groves and his "curse". LOL (In a way, he works as a Carl Kolchak (aka The Night Stalker) analogue in this story. (

I loved this series and am so sorry it is over. I bought an anthology just for a short story entitled Blood Wrapped with Tony and Henry and it was good...like a tasty dessert after a big meal. I wish there was more. These stories are dense and packed with detail and excitement.

After rereading in 2018 my sentiments remain the same and now...why didn't I mention the title of the anthology so I can go have dessert. Want more Tony. (

You probably wouldn't be reading this unless you like Tanya Huff and this series. It's fun and light for Buffy-style demon/vampire/wizard urban fantasy. Perfect dorky read for public transit except that the cover made me want to obscure it from public view. (

Finally got hands on this one. To my dismay looks to be the last of the series. Sums up angles superbly, but that doesn't mean I won't miss the characters. The plot was good and its obvious tonys powers have really grown. The story confused me some and is highly fantasy orientated. Showdown had a small, cool twist. Kudos to hear from Vicki as a bonus for the last book although since ht elast two books of the blood series I can't stand Vicki and tensed up with the scene here. I loved how relationships played out with Tony and his interesting, just sad the books are over. Henry was around moe than the last novel and a conversation he has with Tony at the end shows how much they have really changed. I suppose change will always be inevitable. (
