An introduction to the life and career of the ichthyologist whose interest in fish began at the age of nine during weekly trips to the Aquarium in New York City. First, I want to give credit to illustrator Ruth Chew for her drawings. When one reviews a book the illustrator is overlooked in the storytelling. Her images highlight the biography of the Eugene Clark. Eugenie Clark's story is humbling. It shows the power of doing the little things. Using your senses to observe and absorb the world around you. I also love the fact that she had to learn all about the mammals in the sea before she could specialize in sharks. That is a something that should be addressed in aspiring naturalists, and as the story unfolds, it shows how her knowledge of sea life benefits her in her research. Note: Read the last two pages of the book for a special treat. "Study what fascinates you the most." Eugenie Clark geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
