The Salisbury Manuscript by Philip Gooden was a sad disappointment. Anticipating an interesting Edwardian historical mystery on the basis of an intriguing opening chapter, I found it instead to be a rather lackluster puzzler. Characterization was cardboard in nature and pacing only picked up at the mid-way point, even then failing to reach anything very interesting at the climax. I can't really recommend this one. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
