The second book of the series dives right into the action at the very beginning, and the pace doesn’t slow throughout the novel. The description of the hyenas feasting was almost too descriptive for my vivid imagination. And when Denver Wolf showed up, albeit in one coincidence too many, things really got interesting. Again, the life in a zoo was presented wonderfully, with vivid descriptions, clearly showing the author’s (and the characters’) love for animals. A great, suspenseful read.
