This one has Rachel and Miri practicing for the witch version of a bat mitzvah. Miri has found a website just for witches called mywitchboook.com and is trying to network with other witches. A new character is added in this book, Wendaline, a young witch who is attending school with Rachel. Rachel tries to change everything about this other witch. Rachel also starts having problems with her powers. We learn that she is not being true to herself or to the others in her life and it's affecting her magic. The girls tell their father that they are witches and he freaks out. With that in mind Rachel breaks up with her boyfriend. Rachel learns to be true to herself and finally comes clean with her boyfriend. ( ) Finished listening to this on the way home from work. I really like the girl who reads these. Rachel finally deals with telling her friends and family and Raf about her powers, Miri gets a boyfriend and the girls have a Samsorta (like a bar mitzvah for witches.) Not everyone react wonderfully but eventually everyone comes around, including Rachel herself. As in the previous books, some things are predictable but the books are so much fun that it isn't really an issue. This is the first volume where Rachel didn't do something so over the top that I got nervous. This one was more about Rachel's internal conflict. Finished listening to this on the way home from work.
